Having a Blue Badge can make a real difference if you or your child uses a wheelchair or finds it difficult to walk long distances.
You may also be eligible if there are safety concerns, such as being at risk of harm to themselves or others when walking near roads or in public spaces.
If you or your child receives the higher rate of mobility under Disability Living Allowance (DLA), you’ll likely qualify automatically — but there are other ways to qualify, too.
It’s free to apply, and you can start your application here:

“Before we had the Blue Badge, every trip out was a challenge. Now it’s so much easier to park close and keep my son safe.” – Emma, mum to Jake (7)
“I didn’t realise we’d qualify because my daughter doesn’t use a wheelchair, but her autism makes walking near roads really unsafe. The badge has made such a difference.” – Sarah, parent carer
“It’s a small thing that’s made a huge impact on our independence as a family.” – Tom, dad of two
